Luleå University of Technology is Scandinavia’s northernmost university of technology, and offers world-class research and educational programmes. Our research is conducted in close collaboration with companies such as Bosch, Ericsson, Scania, LKAB, SKF and leading international universities. Luleå University of Technology has an annual turnover of SEK 1.6 billion. The university currently has 1,700 employees and 16,000 students.

Luleå University of Technology offers degree programmes at five campuses: Luleå, Piteå, Skellefteå, Kiruna and Filipstad. The total number of enrolled students is 16,000, most of which are studying in Luleå. Degree programmes are provided in the following areas:

Approximately 2,500 students are pursuing their studies through distance learning. 350 exchange students are included in the total amount of students. Approximately 850 students study on advanced level programmes such as Master’s studies and specialist nursing programmes.
